Payment FAQs
We get it, life is expensive.
But looking after your health shouldn't be the thing that slips. Here's the down-low on payment and coverage options, so you know exactly where you stand before you book.
Do you accept private health insurance?
If you've got private health insurance with physiotherapy extras, you'll be able to claim back a portion of your appointment cost. How much depends on your insurer and your level of cover. The easiest way to check is to look up your policy details (usually called a Product Disclosure Statement, or PDS) or give your insurer a quick call for a quote.
Can I claim on the spot?
Yes. We've got a HICAPS terminal in clinic, so if you've got private health insurance you can tap your card and your rebate comes off there and then. You'll just pay the gap, not the full amount upfront. If you aren’t sure or you forget your card (we’ve all been there), don’t stress! You can pay for the appointment in full and then submit your paid invoice (which can be emailed to you immediately) to receive your rebate.
What about Medicare?
You may be eligible for support through a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (sometimes called an EPC, short for Enhanced Primary Care plan). This is set up by your GP, not by us, so it's worth having a chat with them about your eligibility. It's different to private health cover. A GP plan gives you a Medicare rebate for a set number of allied health visits per year, while private health extras are an ongoing benefit through your own policy. You can read more about how the GP plan works here.
What if I don't have private health insurance or a GP plan?
That's completely fine, plenty of people are in the same boat. You'll pay the appointment cost directly, no cover or plan required. There's no minimum commitment and no pressure to sign up to anything before you're ready to.
Not sure what applies to you?
That's completely normal, the system isn't exactly straightforward. If you're unsure what you're covered for or how to check, get in touch and we'll help you figure it out before your first appointment.
